Strehla Ceramic Vase – Ochre & Brown with Raised Scroll Decoration – GDR

Description

A vintage Strehla ceramic vase with a rounded body, cylindrical neck and a pronounced dark brown rim.

Warm ochre and caramel tones contrast with dark, textured scroll decoration wrapping around the body. The raised pattern gives the vase a sculptural quality, while the glazed interior has a deep brown finish.

A compact decorative piece for a shelf, sideboard or a collection of German ceramics. It also makes an attractive display for dried stems.

Marked Strehla and GDR underneath. Exact production date unknown.
